The Future is a project space, artist market and residency, library and studio in South Minneapolis. The Future residency hosts local, national and international artists for 10-day residencies, culminating in a public program. An overwhelming amount of artists working in print and zines have applied to the residencies, prompting a print studio serving feminist, queer and trans* residents, and more broadly, the local artist community. Funding will support the creation of a print space, and fund an artist residency program with the goal of creating broadsides to be distributed throughout the neighborhood and posted on telephone poles and in alleyways.
