  • Description

The Black Power Station is a digital audiobook archive and mobile sound installation that will exist online as downloadable works and as a physical sonic space. Working with US archives of African American history, including the University of Minnesota’s Archie Givens Collection of African American Literature and the Amistad Research Center at Tulane University among others, we will work as artist-readers to identify and record spoken-texts of literature written by writers of African descent that have fallen out of print.
