Join us Saturday, March 30th at 4pm in the Midway Library for an artist talk by Tobias Madison and Kaspar Müller.
Tobias Madison (b.1985, Basel, Switzerland) frequently works in collaboration with other artists; his practice includes a wide variety of roles and media, including sculpture, video, text, audio, computer-generated painting, feedback loops, and curation and publishing as well as creation. He is one of a group of artists who run New Jerseyy, a contemporary art space in North Basel, Switzerland. Currently he has a solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle Zürich (Switzerland), and has upcoming exhibitions at The Power Station (Dallas) and with Kaspar Müller at the Green Gallery (Milwaukee).
Kaspar Müller (b.1983, Schaffhausen, Switzerland) also works in a variety of media, from sculpture to film, and frequently uses collaboration and appropriation as parts of his practice. Much of his work centers on questions of production, capital, and value. In 2009, he founded the artist’s space Galen with Emil Michael Klein. Müller has presented recent solo shows at the Kunsthalle Bern (Switzerland), Gasconade (Milan), Société (Berlin) and the Centre d’art contemporain Lausanne (Switzerland), among others. He lives and works in Berlin.
They will be speaking about their new project at the Green Gallery, Milwaukee and other recent projects.
